Khedira has reportedly rejected a new contract at Real Madrid and is now pushing for a move to Arsenal this summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be keen on adding the Germany international to his squad for next season, and some reports even suggesting that a £24million bid has already been made.
And now the respected El Confidencial newspaper says Khedira has rejected the opportunity to sign a new two-year contract with Madrid, and is pushing to join Arsenal.
Khedira is close friends with both Mesut Ozil and Per Mertesacker and it’s thought that the pair have been key in convincing the powerhouse his future is in north London.
The major sticking point to any deal would be the 27-year-old’s wage demands, with many reports claiming that he wants at least £150,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium.
Khedira has just 12 months left on his current Madrid contract so the Champions League winners may be forced to sell now.
