Proving that she's cute and leggy no matter what she has on, Selena Gomez hit New York's Madison Avenue on Monday afternoon to indulge in a little much-needed retail therapy.

Wearing a very spring chic blue and silver croptop and skirt combo, Selena teamed it with nude heels with a wide strap for her shopping expedition.

While she wandered along the Big Apple's premiere fashion destination, the 21-year-old kept herself busy and preoccupied with her mobile phone constantly in use, suggesting that she's never really off duty.

While Selena's usual style is carefully crafted to show her sexy side, on Monday night the Come & Get It hitmaker revealed a sophisticated edge in a grown-up black and white dress.

 

The star looked poised and more on point that she has before.

As she arrived at the American Ballet Theatre 2014 Opening Night Spring Gala in New York, the 21-year-old singer showed off her toned figure in a strapless black-and-white gown, sure to catch the attention of her ex Justin Bieber.

The chic number featured knee-length black fabric in the front and back.

But the sides were much more revealing, as the frock was pulled together with bowed white fabric that just hit her upper thighs.

Selena paired her elegant dress with shiny black stilettos and donned minimal jewellery.
