Arsenal boss confirms interest in French starlet

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has dropped a major hint that he could be making a move for Auxerre forward Paul-George Ntep, by hailing the youngster as a ‘great prospect’.
The Gunners have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old in recent months, with rumours suggesting that scouts from the club have been assessing his abilities.

Ntep has been one of the standout young performers in the second tier of French football, turning in a number of impressive displays, and has also made an impact at U-21 international level.
Wenger – who has a history of snapping up top talent from his homeland – did nothing to quash speculation that a move for the forward is on the cards by lavishing the starlet with praise:
“Paul George Ntep has the potential to have a great future,” he is quoted by The Metro.
“It all depends on his mind, but he is a great prospect.”
Ntep is said to have already rejected two offers to leave Auxerre – with one thought to have been from Roma – but has claimed that he could be open to a switch to Arsenal in the future.
