Chelsea have moved into pole position to Sami Khedira from Real
Madrid with Arsenal refusing to meet his £150,000-a-week wage demands.
The Gunners are interested in adding Germany World Cup winner Khedira to their midfield ahead of the new season.
But after Madrid gave them permission to speak to his agent this week, the Daily Mirror reports that talks have stalled because of the player’s refusal to alter his wage demands.
Khedira is well paid at Madrid and while he would love to move to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal are refusing to pay him £150,000-a-week – which would make him their joint highest earner with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez.
