Arsenal target Jackson Martinez has talked up a possible move to the Emirates this summer, admitting he supported the Gunners as a boy.
The Porto man, who has impressed for Colombia at this summer’s World Cup, has been linked with a move to north London.
And it appears the 27-year-old wants to push the switch through, speaking of his desire to join Arsene Wenger’s men.
‘I know that there have been discussions, but still no agreements,’ he said.
‘My agent is taking care of my future, right now I’m at the World Cup and only after the World Cup I’ll evaluate proposals.
‘As a child I cheered for Arsenal, they play a game that suits me. If I had the occasion to play there, I would say yes.’
Arsenal are reported to have opened talks with Porto over a £20m move for the forward over the weekend.
