BALOTELLI AND REMY SETS TO JOIN ARSENAL

Mario Balotelli is Arsenal's first choice to be their big striker signing this summer.
As revealed some time ago by Football Grapevine, AC Milan have decided to sell Balotelli this summer and have offered him to various Premier League clubs most notably Arsenal and Liverpool.
Two weeks ago this column stated that the Gunners are closing in.

This has now been confirmed by sources close to Arsenal - who are more keen than Liverpool.
And I gather Balotelli prefers the idea of a move to London. Ahead of England’s opening World Cup game against Italy it can be revealed that middle men are trying to piece a deal together to see Arsenal secure the services of Balotelli in a £20million deal.
Balotelli signed for AC Milan after a turbulent time at Manchester City in a £17 million deal 18 months ago.
The Gunners have also been linked with Loic Remy, who is on offer from QPR, after a season-long loan at Newcastle.
But I understand that given Lukas Poldolski could be on his way, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, with a significant transfer fund in excess of £100m net after signing a new deal as manager, feels he could take on both Balotelli AND Remy.
Wenger also feels he can tame Balotelli and turn him into a world class striker.
