ARSENAL CLOSE TO SEALING 3.5MILLION POUNDS VELA DEAL

Arsenal are closing in on a deal to bring Carlos Vela back to the club this summer.
The Mexican moved to Real Sociedad in 2012 following a successful loan spell at the Spanish club.
At the time, Arsenal were insistent on including a buy-back clause - understood to be £3.5million - as part of the deal that saw Vela move to Spain.

Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay claims Vela does not want to re-join Arsenal this summer.
But it remains the club's intention to bring the player back to north London in time for the new season.
Aperribay was quoted this week as saying Arsenal had informed Sociedad of their intention of activating the clause.
Negotiations between the clubs are at an advanced stage, with Vela's return looking increasingly likely.
The only scenario preventing Vela's comeback would be if terms are agreed with Sociedad or another club for a permanent transfer.
