Sagna wants a three-year deal worth £90,000-per-week to stay. Arsenal are unlikely to meet those demands, but are ready to explore the option of giving the defender a seven-figure signing on fee to make up for the shortfall.

Vermaelen’s advisors have begun the process of lining up the defender’s next move.
The Arsenal skipper has been on the peripheries for most of the season due to Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny’s outstanding partnership.
