Arsenal are keeping tabs on Wolfsburg teenager Maximilian Arnold.
The Gunners have developed their scouting network in Germany in recent months and Arnold, 19, has been identified as a potential target.
Arnold is under contract until 2015 - but is understood to have a buy-out clause of around £8million.
The 6ft teenager is establishing himself as a first team regular this season, scoring six goals and getting an assist in 14 matches for sixth-placed Wolfsburg.
He has international pedigree, having represented Germany at every level from Under 16 to Under 21.
Arsenal
have a growing German contingent with five players - Per Mertesacker,
Lukas Podolski, Mesut Ozil, Serge Gnabry and Gedion Zelalem - having
appeared in Arsene Wenger's first team already this season.
