West Ham announced the signing of teenage striker Jaanai Gordon from League One side Peterborough on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old recently had a trial with the Barclays Premier League club and his signing for an undisclosed fee will go through when the transfer window opens on January 1.
Who is he?
Jaanai Gordon is an 18-year-old who has come through the youth system at League One Peterborough United. He’s been studying at the Nene Park Academy in the city, which doubles as a training base for Posh, he gained a clutch of GCSE’s. His younger brother, also a striker, is in the Posh youth syst
He’s a powerful, pacy, athletic striker, who scores goals. When he’s in the mood he can dominate defenders and at youth and reserve team level he has been prolific. He was fast-tracked from the youths into the reserves at Posh because he was so good.
He’s often saved his best for the big occasions so far in his career, the best example is the three-week trial he had with the Hammers in November when he scored four goals in two games to make a big impression.
we should watch our this lad....
